How do I know if she has a crush on me?

QUESTION: I just met this girl last week and we talk every now and then. Sometimes she says hi, sometimes she smiles and waves at me; sometimes even if she’s with her friends she still says hi and smiles. And sometimes she looks down at her phone when she sees me and when I look at her.

ANSWER: To be honest it’s too early to tell if she likes you or not.

Now if she looks at you, licks her lips and smiles teasingly, then that’s completely different. For sure she’s definitely interested in you.
Look, if you’ve been in a number of relationships, you would know that some of the basic indications that a girl likes a guy are if she stares in a guy’s eyes intently with deep fascination. Or of she can’t look at the guy’s eyes directly because this indicates nervous tension. Or if she blinks more often than usual whilst talking to you, because that indicates nervous tension as well.

Here’s the thing though, sometimes appearances can be deceiving. Signals can be wrong. You don’t want to look like the idiot who tried kissing her only for her to pull away at the last minute right?
Therefore, ask her out to find out if you’ve got a chance with her or not.

Now if she says yes then you’re at least one step ahead with her. Because she said YES when she could’ve clearly said no. She made plans with you, when in fact she could’ve just turned you down.
