Dating For Women
Wondering why men don’t stick around?
A HUGE and unfortunate mistake that most women make with men is sharing too much information within the initial moments of the first interaction.
In your desire to please your date (which you mistakenly think will make you closer to him), sometimes you give way too much information about yourself.
Result?
Automatic FAIL.
Reality check: You are actually on a date, you’re not talking to a psychologist nor making a confession to a priest.
One thing that turns men off and sends him running away faster than you can say “where the hell did he go” are conversation topics such as how many men you’ve slept with, or how much you hate your job with a vengeance, or how many times you get drunk on a daily basis. Keep away from these topics at all costs to avoid any uncomfortable silences and awkwardness.
FAIL: You should NEVER talk about your EX on the first date. You don’t want to give him the impression that you’re this little girl who’s always complaining about a past high school crush. You might also give him the impression that you’re the sulky and jealous type as well.
FAIL: You should NEVER talk about any HEALTH PROBLEMS either. I don’t think he wants to hear about any gory details of any of your health problem. Talking about a recent operation you just had does not really qualify as a turn-on topic.
What do you hope to accomplish by that anyway? Do you want him to come hold you and tell you that everything is going to be alright?
Oooh . . .you poor dear.
Talk about any of these topics and before you know it, you’ll be the queen of one hit wonders – you’ll be crying yourself to sleep night after night wondering why you never get a second date.
Just stay positive on a first date. The heavy stuff should come at a much later phase in the relationship.
The more you go on dates, the more you reveal more of yourself. For now, just keep the first date light. Laugh and enjoy each other’s company, it is a probation period for the both of you after all.
