It’s Gold Number 2 for Australia!
Australia has claimed a second gold medal at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, with Lydia Lassila winning the women’s freestyle aerials final at Cypress Mountain.
Lassila was in second place after an impressive jump in the first round, and stood as Australia’s best chance going into the deciding round.
But it was Australia’s other main contender Jacqui Cooper who made an early statement in the second round.

Torah Bright wins gold for Australia!!
Australia’s Torah Bright has bounced back from a shocking first run in the women’s snowboard halfpipe final, to record an outstanding score of 45.0 in her second run to claim the gold medal.
Bright qualified first for the final, but her first run left her at the bottom of the standings, meaning that she was first off in the second round.

The Winter Olympic Games Opening Ceremony was launched in a flurry of ticker-tape Saturday afternoon Australian time in an event dedicated to Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili, who died earlier in a horror smash. Saints' Quarterback, Drew Brees celebrates
The New Orleans Saints completed their long-awaited transformation from chumps to champions by defeating the Indianapolis Colts 31-17 in the Super Bowl on Sunday to claim their first NFL title.
New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees completed 32 of 39 passes for 288 yards and two touchdowns as he out-dueled the Colts’ Peyton Manning to help the Saints recover from a 10-point first-quarter deficit.

A popular and eye-popping mix of stars like Beyonce, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga drew a TV audience of 25.8 million Americans to the Grammy Awards — the biggest TV audience for the telecast in six years, according to preliminary television ratings on Monday.
The 3-1/2 hour music awards show on CBS on Sunday enjoyed a 35 percent increase on last year and was the most-watched Grammy telecast since 2004, according to early date from Nielsen.
