RUSSELL PETERS - 'OUTSOURCED'
Starring Russell PetersRussell Peters is a Canadian comedian of Indian descent. He has performed all over the world and his most successful stage show to date 'Outsourced' is on DVD. This DVD is absolutely hilarious and a must see for people of Asian ethnicity living in western society. Russell Peters makes a mockery of a variety of Asian cultures including his own Indian ethnicity. He also has new material on Jews, Africans, the English Accent and terrorists. I was truly amazed by Russell Peters ability to perform different Asian accents and his ability to adlib when he gets the audience involved. The entire show is entertaining making it the highest selling DVD in Canada. I must warn you though, 'Outsourced' is not for the faint hearted or for those who are sensitive to multicultural and racial issues. THE DA VINCI CODE
starring: Tom Hanks and Audrey TautouFrom the director of “A Beautiful Mind” and “The Grinch” comes a thriller involving a fictional religious mystery which could very well shake the foundations of Christianity. The plot revolves around an assassination inside the Louvre Museum and clues in Da Vinci paintings which leads to the unearthing of a religious mystery that has been closely guarded by a secret society for nearly two thousand years. Just to make sure the film lives up to the hype of the book, the producers enlists a solid cast in the form of Tom Hanks, Audrey Tautou, Ian McKellen, Jean Reno and Akiva Goldsman. Fast-paced and intense, The Da Vinci Code is a film of great quality, it is a definite a must see for the fans of the book. 'STICK IT'
Starring Haley Graham & Jeff BridgesIt’s not often you gain an insight into the world of gymnasts. But now that you can, it’s definitely worth getting the education! Haley Graham (MISSY PEREGRYM) is a rebellious 17 year-old who is obligated to come back to the world of gymnastics after a run-in with the law. She was enlisted to a gymnastics academy that is run by a renowned but uncompromising coach in the form of Burt Vickerman (JEFF BRIDGES). Hayley quickly makes an impression at the strict school – creating friends and foes wherever she turns. As Haley warms up to her new environment, she surprises herself by developing a bond with her uptight coach. As the movie progresses, Hayley and her team end up being handpicked to compete in a major championship where they all come to a realization that friendships and loyalty matter more than rules or scores. Beautiful women on tights and quick-witted banter are definite drawcards for this entertaining film. DEUCE BIGALO - EUROPEAN GIGOLO
starring Rob Schneider & Eddie GriffinA type of sequel where you really have to watch the first one if you are to truly appreciate this movie. Schneider a male gigolo not by choice is up to his old tricks again, but this time in Europe. He uses his position as a European male gigolo to help rescue a friend who gets in trouble with the law. The story line is pretty ordinary but with any Schneider film in the past, you are guaranteed at least a couple of good laughs. Is it worth borrowing? Well to be frank, it’s worth borrowing on Mon-Thur night specials or if you have a free rental coupon from you local video store. COMING TO AMERICA
