The disaster movie ’2012′ took in a WHOPPING amount for its first week of release – nearly $8.3 million! It’s bypassed all expectations both here and overseas and even though it’s not favoured among critics, evidently it’s a crowd pleaser. Many moviegoers claim curiosity as to why they went to see it, what with the movie’s subject being the end of the world happening in 2 years’ time! Looking at the Top 10 though, it’s an incredibly varied group of movies with nearly every genre represented – from drama to comedy, from fantasy to a biography, to romance.
