Unanswered questions regarding Michael Jackson’s death
Since Michael Jackson unexpectedly and abruptly died last Thursday, there’s been a veil of mystery surrounding his death.
Reverend Jesse Jackson spent yesterday counselling the Jackson family at their estate, and he disclosed to ABC television’s Good Morning America that the Jackson family members are furious due to unresolved questions surrounding Michael’s death.
There’s still a big question mark regarding the role that the singer’s doctor, Conrad Murray played in the tragedy.
Conrad apparently injected Michael with the strong painkiller ‘Demerol’ shortly before his death and this could possibly have been the reason for his unforeseen demise.
Los Angeles police said on Friday that they planned to interview Conrad Murray for a second time after originally speaking to him last Thursday to further seek information regarding Jackson’s death.
However, Jesse Jackson said the Jackson family have a set of questions they want to ask the doctor in question themselves. Questions such as “When did the doctor come? What did he do? Did they inject him, if so with what.” The Jackson family was suspicious about the doctor because he suddenly had gone missing in the hours following Michael’s tragic demise.
“His absence raises questions of substance that will not go away until they are answered,” Jackson further added.
Asked if the Jackson family will request for their own separate autopsy, Jesse Jackson replied: “I’m sure they ought to, they probably will.”
While Los Angeles coroners announced that the preliminary investigation proved that there was no evidence of “external trauma or foul play” on Jackson’s body, Michael’s family and friends still expressed their anger over the airwaves in regards to the role the advisers and doctors played following his death.
The Jackson family were today gathered at their family complex in the northern Los Angeles suburb of Encino and they are seriously considering the possibility of obtaining an independent autopsy.
The Los Angeles Coroner’s office said a preliminary autopsy on Michael was inconclusive and a final cause of death will not be established until exhaustive toxicology tests are conducted in “six to eight weeks”.
Michael’s body was released to his family late yesterday, and is being kept at a private location, officials advised.
