Nicole Kidman named top-earning Aussie actress in Hollywood

Nicole Kidman has finally done it – she has just been named as the top-earning Australian actress in Hollywood.

She comes in at number eight in a list of Hollywood’s top female earners assembled by Forbes magazine. Forbes usually calculates the ballpark earnings for the 2008-09 financial year by talking to various agents, managers, producers and lawyers to verify what the stars collected for the movies they are currently on, as well as back-end pay they received after a movie does well in the big screen. They also take into account money received from the star’s own endorsements.

Nicole Kidman’s take-home pay was estimated at $15 million, she comes in on level pegging with another superstar – Drew Barrymore.

Cate Blanchett, a fellow Aussie actress just missed the top 10 list coming in at No. 11 after earning $10 million in the past year.

The ‘Devil Wears Prada” super bitch Meryl Streep came in at number 3 by earning $29.8 million, ahead of other superstars Kate Winslet, Halle Berry, Sarah Jessica Parker, Anne Hathaway, Scarlett Johansson, Cameron Diaz, Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon and many more.

However, as much as these women are earning millions of dollars, they still can’t measure up to their male counterparts such as Indiana Jones himself Harrison Ford who was crowned as the top-earning actor by earning a ridiculous $81 million!

Nicole Kidman is currently shooting her next movie called “Rabbit Hole,” co-starring Aaron Eckhart, in New York.

These people are so rich that they probably use a gold tissue paper to wipe the sweat off their foreheads and sh*t golden nuggets. It’s kind of like winning the lotto over and over again. Well done Nicole Kidman though, glad to know that a true blue Aussie beauty is earning top dollars in Hollywood!
