Has Mischa Barton finally hit rock bottom?

OC super hottie Mischa Barton was set to attend the premiere of her new movie Homecoming yesterday night in New York City, but according to Access Hollywood, she was unable to do so because she was still under psychiatric hold at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in LA.

For those who don’t know, last Wednesday, Mischa called the cops at 3 pm due to a health problem. PEOPLE spoke to LAPD Officer April Harding regarding the call and she verified that they “assisted her with a medical issue and removed her from her home.” April had to keep her trap shut about what exactly went down there though, because confidentiality laws didn’t allow her to divulge any details about Mischa’s condition.
PEOPLE was also able to get hold of Mischa’s rep, but he also refused to make any comments on the report, all he said was “Mischa has been hospitalized per the recommendation of her doctor and is resting in the hospital.”

Thanks Mischa’s rep, the OBVIOUS escaped us.

Mischa was arrested for DUI last December 2007 for marijuana possession and driving without a license and now almost a year after her notorious DUI arrest, she may be hitting rock bottom again.

A friend of Mischa’s told PEOPLE that “she (Mischa) has been dealing with a lot of personal issues.” The anonymous friend also said “I don’t know if she really ever gave up some of the bad habits that had gotten out of control a couple years back.”

Well that doesn’t sound good at all. Mischa actually burst onto the Hollywood scene by playing a freaky ghost in the sixth sense complete with white goo dripping out of her mouth – here’s hoping that the creepy scene we saw before doesn’t actually come to life!
