Who’s ready for James Cameron’s Avatar?

Earlier last Friday, a website that had the trailer for the James Cameron’s flick inevitably crashed as thousands of excited fans rushed and tried their best to get a first peek of the much anticipated 3D movie.

A 15-minute sneak peek of Avatar was just recently shown at the Sydney Imax a few days ago and judging by the amount of applause it garnered  – looks like James Cameron’s 3D epic is set to be another box office hit! 

The scenes were shown in a 15-minute preview on the IMAX screen in Sydney’s Darling Harbour. The transformation of Sam Worthington’s character into a mystifying Avatar and Sam ’s character again running from this massive beast from planet Pandora were just two of scenes especially selected for the 15-minute sneak peek.

According to news.com.au, Sam apparently plays a former marine but now a paraplegic Jake Sully, who is linked with an alien to begin the colonisation process of Pandora. After fighting through the dangers of the planet and becoming close to the locals, Sully begins to question his orders whilst falling for Neytiri – a Pandora native.

Apparently the film has taken four long years to produce, and the pressure is on for Cameron since this is the first film he’s directed since Aliens In The Deep back in 2005.

The film is due for release in Australia on December 17 and apparently tickets around the world are selling fast so you better hurry up!
