The MTV Movie Awards showed this sneak peak on Monday of the anticipated next installment of the Harry Potter films. The first of two-parts, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is to be released in 3D worldwide on November 18 and 19.
In this teaser, Harry, Hermione and Ron (Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint) are facing their foes in the final battle between good and evil. Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) now controls the Ministry of Magic and Hogwarts and is determined to kill the tale’s hero. The fearless threesome must defeat the Dark Lord despite the lack of hope and the mounting conflicts.
The movie is directed by David Yates who helmed the last two Harry Potter films, The Half-Blood Prince (2009) and Order of the Phoenix (2007), from J.K. Rowling’s novels and is also directing the next and final film, Part 2 arriving in July 2011.
Tom Felton won the 2010 MTV Movie Awards’ Best Villain as Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter series.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince are in the top 10 of most popular films at the worldwide box office. The latter also has the record for highest grossing week.
