Khalilah Jones has a distinct personal style that makes her standout among other artist. She deeply believes in strutting her own stuff when it comes to expressing herself through her unique fashion sense, which is why she rose above the rest and was proclaimed StarCentral Magazine’s Fashionista of the month for April 2016.

The ingenious and artistic Ms. Jones was licensed with Urban Darling as a wardrobe stylist in 2010, and she has been turning heads with her brand of confidence since. She works under the business name Chic & Classy Image Consulting at www.chicandclassyimage.com .

Before styling professionally, people around her have been noticing her unique fashion statement and often times have been an ice breaker whenever she’s around strangers.

“I love that you can make such a profound statement without even saying a word. That’s what personal style is about to me,” she shared to us when asked what she loved most about fashion.

The creative and beautiful stylist credits all she has achieve to her loving and super supportive husband, who had been her inspiration to pursue her passion for looking amazing.

“I have some very supportive people in my circle. The hubster leads the pack! He bought me my first (second and third) camera(s) for blogging. And, he just bought me an iPad, and a tripod. Also, he purchased the clothing rack and steamer I use for my styling gigs. And those are just the tools he’s helped with but he is there encouraging and helping flesh out ideas… he is my biggest cheerleader!” she muses.

Her career has opened many doors for improvement and learning throughout the years, but there are some moments that really sticks out. “I am such an excitable person admittedly, so it doesn’t take much. However, there are some standout experiences. Coordinating a fashion show that benefited a teen mentorship program, also helping to coordinate, commentating and styling for a fashion show that benefited women military veterans who suffer from PTSD, as well as receiving testimonials from clients who said I helped to change their lives! Winning this contest is in my top five as well, I have to admit!” she excitedly recounted.

Moreover, she revealed that the fashion world can be pretty interesting as there are some unique and flamboyant individuals with personalities you wouldn’t believe. But she tells us that one of the most intriguing, interesting and down-to-earth person she has met so far was JJ Valentine from the TV show B.O.R.N.

Currently, the 37-year old fashionista maintains her blog Khalilah’s Kloset at www.khalilahskloset.com and is based at Ruckersville, Virginia.

In the future, I foresee opening a combination boutique/salon for full body makeovers where people can come in to surprise friends with ambush makeovers for mommy makeovers, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, pamper days. I would also like to collaborate with a nonprofit for women’s empowerment and girls mentorship and work on etiquette and a rites of passage program that focuses on positive self image,” she revealed when we quizzed her about her future plans.

‘LIGHTNING FAST’ Round:

1. What is the one beauty product you can’t live without? eyeliner

2. What is the most dramatic thing you’ve ever done to change your looks? I used to model for hair shows and I once had a leopard print colour blend haircut. I also had extensions down to my waist

3. What is in your makeup bag when you travel? Cream to powder foundation, mascara, eyebrow kit, neutral eye shadow, eyeliner, pressed powder and lip gloss

4. What is the one “flaw” you wouldn’t change about yourself? I have hideous feet! However, I would not change it because I earned those beat up toes performing ballet for years. I wouldn’t change that experience for the world.

5. Your best guilty pleasure… I have a perpetual sweet tooth and I also love trashy TV
