The National Finalists for the reality show “I Am Multiverse – Australia” recently got measured and weighed to make sure they adhered to a healthy BMI range. With the National Finals just around the corner, the contestants are preparing themselves mentally and physically for what lies ahead.

Contestants who are below a healthy BMI will, unfortunately, be disqualified according to the producer, Yolandi Franken.

The producers require the models to declare their height, weight and other measurements in their initial application. They will only consider models who are within a healthy BMI range. The models will once again be measured during the Regional Finals of Australia. Swimwear photos were in fact taken to ensure the models have a healthy body stature.

The BMI crackdown is vital because the models are supposed to be healthy role models. The BMI crackdown is also crucial because all the girls will be required to have high energy levels to be able to take on the highly physical challenges of the unique competition.

Thankfully, all the top ten finalists had a healthy BMI. The National Director, Yolandi Franken warned her models that while they are training to get into shape for the National and World Finals, they need to focus on toning rather than losing weight.

The minimum accepted BMI for the contest and TV show is a BMI of 18.

The Miss Multiverse Australia winner, as well as the Miss Multiverse winners from around the world, will be BMI-tested before attending the World Finals.
