Well, here it is, ladies and gentlemen.  Ok, maybe more for the ladies.  It’s the first of many trailers for the third film of the Twilight Saga, ‘Eclipse’.  As everyone remembers, after ‘New Moon’, the decision is made for Bella (Kristen Stewart) to be turned into a vampire and one of the big reasons for that is that she will be killed by the Volturi if it doesn’t happen.  But the two men in her life would rather it didn’t. Edward (Robert Pattinson) – because he knows what she’ll lose if she becomes like him – her mother and her father.  Jacob (Taylor Lautner) – because Bella will be lost to him forever if she becomes one of the Cold Ones.  But there’s another threat looming in the form of bad ass lady vamp, Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard, replacing Rachel Lefevre), still hell bent on revenge for the killing of her lover, James (Cam Gigandet). She and her army of newborn vampires are on their way to Forks with one thing on their mind – killing Edward and Bella.

 The third film is filled with more action sequences and I’m sure following trailers will show this just to whet our appetites – not that we need any more convincing to see the film!  So stay tuned!

Alice In Wonderland made an amazing start at the box office this week, raking in just over $14 million!  Its success proves that 3D is the future for film-making.  This bodes well for upcoming 3D films, ‘Clash of the Titans’ and the two final Harry Potter films.  While critics might not have raved about Tim Burton’s Alice the same way they did about ‘Avatar’, moviegoers seemed to have thought differently.  New Nicholas Sparks weepie, ‘Dear John’ starring Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried also did well in its first week.

24 Season 8 Cast

It’s been widely believed that the current season of  24 will be its last but it looks like it may live to see another day after all.

Multiple sources confirmed to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello exclusively, that 20th Century Fox has approached NBC about picking up the series should Fox opt to cancel it — and the Peacock is considering it. “There’s definitely some interest,” says an insider close to the talks.

Earlier this week, reports surfaced that 20th (a.k.a. the studio) and Fox (a.k.a. the network) are nearing a mutual decision to end the serial thriller after eight seasons due to declining ratings and rising costs.

 A move to NBC — while still considered somewhat of a long shot given the hefty price tag — would likely delay 20th’s plans to launch a Jack Bauer film franchise. From a production standpoint, 24 execs have long maintained that it would be next to impossible to make a movie while the series was still on the air.

 Reps for 20th and NBC declined to comment.

If you’re anything like me, sometimes going to the gym is a lot of fun! And then there are those times when it feels just like a chore. It’s easy to fall out of habit when going to the gym, especially when you’re doing the same thing every day. Of course you’re going to get bored! Below are 5 easy ways to make the gym a whole lot less-boring. Which means you’ll spend more time there, and see faster results! Who could ask for more?

1/ Take a friend: The best way to motivate yourself, and to have a laugh at the same time, is to bring along a friend to your workouts. You can give each other tips and pointers, and hopefully learn some new workouts at the same time! The competitive side to it is a benefit as well- challenge each other to ten minutes on a cardio machine. Chances are, you’ll run a lot faster when in competition! I take my boyfriend along to our workouts, and not only do we push each other, but we have a lot of fun and a bit of a laugh as well. It’s always better to have a bit of a laugh at yourself when there’s someone else around!

2/ Bring along your Ipod: Music always makes working out feel like less of a chore. Make your own playlist of songs with a more upbeat tempo, that really push you to run/lift/cycle faster. If music isn’t your thing, most gyms have TVs playing. Plug your headphones into the socket and run along to your favourite TV Show. Get to the gym at a time you know something you don’t want to miss will be playing. It makes running for half an hour a lot more fun.

3/Hire a personal trainer: Personal trainers are definately worth the extra dollars. They will give you the exact exercises you need to combat your specific body problems. It’s harder to give up with someone pushing you for an hour, trust me. In a weird way, you want to impress this stranger yelling at you! And it’s a good thing, because not only do you learn proper exercises to take with you to your next gym session, but you can still be social and have that competitive edge which is always a plus!

4/ Take a class: This sounds easy enough. But don’t just take any old class you usually do. Take something you’ve never heard of in your life. Take a class that kind of scares you. Take a class with pumping music and lots of jumping around. It’s more fun if you bring along a friend to one of these- and chances are, you’ll make new friends as well! Class timetables mean that there is a new class on almost every hour- so no excuses about not having the time!

Working out at the gym shouldn’t ever feel like a chore. It’s about getting healthy, having fun and feeling better about yourself. The day you feel like not going to the gym, do one of the above. They’re bound to make your workout 100 times better!

Everyone was shocked when Ruffa Gutierrez publicly announced that she has finally decided to leave ABS CBN to seek greener pastures.

But everyone was even MORE shocked when Ruffa Gutierrez shockingly just got up and left in the middle of her last episode for the Buzz!

So what really happened??

Well Ruffa was apparently offended with her co-host Kris Aquino’s comments regarding her move to TV5. This was the comment that started it all: “Ruffa aminin mo ibang level ang saya dito!” to which Ruffa then replied, “Well, I know you don’t have to rub it in, Kris. Sad din, you know sana wag mo naman dagdagan.”

After that, Ruffa DID NOT return to the Buzz.

Kris later released an official statement regarding the incident, she said she actually had no hard feelings towards Ruffa.

 “I would like to extend a loving hug to Ruffa. I viewed the tape and although I still feel I gave my comment with affection, maybe it made her feel even worse because she is now moving in a new direction. We had what I believed was a good working relationship in the almost two years we were together on The Buzz, “ she quipped.

 “To Ruffa, I sincerely apologize for causing you hurt,” she continued.

Ruffa’s mother, Annabelle Rama, also gave Kris a piece of her mind regarding the issue. She said that Kris Aquino was wrong to have made those comments to Ruffa – she even involved Kris’s big brother, presidential candidate NoyNoy Aquino, in the issue. She said that Kris would probably become all “high and mighty” in the showbiz industry once Noynoy eventually wins as president. She also said that one of the major reasons she pulled Ruffa out from The Buzz is because of Kris’s aggression towards her daughter every Sunday.

“Every Sunday na lang binabara niya si Ruffa. Ano naiinggit ba siya kay Ruffa?” Annabelle commented.

Ruffa eventually responded to the issue on her Twitter account. “Sana man lang I was given the chance to say good-bye properly to my colleagues on The Buzz who I’ve grown to love like family over the last three years. Kung may ayaw sa akin saThe Buzz, may mga may gusto din po sa akin. Sana nabigyan po ako ng chance para magpaalam sa mga nagmamahal din po sa akin. Kahit dalawang piraso pa sila, karapatan ko rin namang magpaalam ng maayos. I’m just trying to do my job. This is not the first time. I’m also very diplomatic and can laugh about anything. Off-cam,the situation was far from pleasant. “

Now besides releasing an official apology, Kris further issued an apology in her show Showbiz News Ngayon to Ruffa and her whole family. She once again said she never intended to hurt Ruffa’s feelings, in fact, her comment was supposed to be a sign of affection to simply express how much she would miss Ruffa now that she’s moving to TV5.

Kris also addressed Anabelle Rama’s callous comments regarding the incident. She confessed she was indeed hurt by Anabelle’s allegations; but she just chose to understand where Anabelle was coming from since Ruffa was her daughter. She’d rather let this issue pass rather than make a bigger deal out of it.

She said that she is still hoping for the best.

“Twenty-three years na kaming magkakilala [ni Ruffa] at sa tinagal-tagal naman ‘non at sa hinaba-haba ng pagsasama namin gusto ko sabihin sa kanya na sana manatili kaming magkabigan.”

The Oscars is a time when celebrity stylists go overboard trying to make their clients stand out, showcasing the hottest trends, while personifying glamour and class. It’s also a time where we get to analyse (and lust after) the red carpet frocks chosen, and this year is definately no exception!

Here are some of the more memorable fashion moments of the night. I’d love to hear some of your opinions!

Sarah-Jessica Parker: It’s true- Carrie Bradshaw can do no wrong. And Sarah-Jessica Parker is obviously making the most of her access to the best fashions out! Her dress is embellished in all the right places, and the fabric across her neck is, while unusual, extremely chic, elegant and daring. The colour is perfect on her skin; and her makeup and up-do compliment the outfit completely. I give her a 10/10.

Jennifer Lopez: Anyone that hates this look is simply jealous. J-Lo looks am-A-zing; I don’t even know where to start. Anyone else would drown in a dress liek this, but she absolutely owns it. The sheer colour contrasted on her olive features is genius- she looks like an angel. Here’s an example of taking risks and being daring, and absolutely pulling it off. She is letting the dress to all the talking with minimal makeup, hair and accesories. Perfect.

Nicole Ritchie: For one of the most stylish women in Hollywood, I’m just not feeling it. At all. The colour is dull, the dress is boring- she is dressing like a 50 year old! For someone with such a great body, she really should be showing a bit more- legs, arms, cleavage- something! Her makup is gorgeous, as is the hair (I’m noticing a lot of up-do here!), but for an occasion like the Oscars, and a celebrity like Nicole, I was expecting a lot more.

Zoe Saldana: The more I look at it, the more I can gradually accept it. At first I screamed at the TV “WHAT ARE YOU THINKING, ZOE?!” But to be honest, she probably wasn’t thinking a lot. She was probably in a blur of Avatar and the Oscars and success and fame and hence, this crime of fashion can be forgiven. But it will go down in the books for a long time. That being said, cut the dress off at the waist, and the top half is gorgeous.

Miley Cyrus: I am so impressed. How many of us can say we looked like this at 17? She looks so mature, but not in an old way. Her dress is so subtle, yet pulls off glitz and glamour just perfectly. The gold hue is perfect and her accesories, down to the black nail polish, hits the nail on the head. Miley, do not get rid of your stylist anytime soon. Or your hairdresser for that matter.

Charlize Theron: I don’t know what to say really. Nice dress, nice colour, nice makeup. Doesn’t make me scream “OH GOD NO!” but doesn’t make me giddy with excitement either. I’ve seen Charlize do better.

Rachel McAdams: And here I was thinking I couldn’t be anymore jelous of this girl. She looks absolutely amazing. I love that she has embraced her pale skin, and chosen colours that really compliment it. Her earrings are the perfect example of accesories making an outfit. I love the criss-cross effect of the bodice. Less is definately more in this instance. Amazing, amazing, amazing.

Sandra Bullock: Definately the golden girl of the night. The dress is pretty conservative, although it suits Sandra, particularly being a nominee. However I am hating the hair and the red lip. The hair is way too stiff and her makeup should have complimented the gold in her dress. The lipstick just clashes. But I lover her, so she is forgiven.

Here’s a touching story that most women might be able to relate to . . .

One day a man and a woman meets for the first time.

Initially, the woman found the man “ok”- as in, she could stand looking at him.

That’s why she originally thought that the man was just going be like every other guy that came into her life.

So they became good friends.

But then the more the woman got to know the man, the more he became attractive in her eyes. And as time went by, that attraction actually developed into an intense emotional affection for the man.

She was actually gobsmacked by this development!

She kept asking herself “How in Earth did this happen??”

As days went by, the emotional attachment became more and more intense. And the more the emotional attachment became more powerful, the more the woman became more and more insecure because she couldn’t tell whether or not the man feels the same way towards her.

Sometimes it would appear as though they share this unparalleled special connection, it’s as if they were the only two people in the planet . . .

But nothing ever really evolved past the friendship phase. There would be an occasional phone call, or a text message or an email and a few times, he would even hug her and kiss her in the forehead . . .

But then something’s wrong with the picture.

He wasn’t acting like a man who is falling head over heels in love with the woman – He was just acting like a good friend who really cares about her.

Because of how the woman felt about the man, she can’t help but decode every aspect of his behaviour. She felt compelled to analyse everything the man does and says to her in intricate detail.

However, the more mixed signals the man gave her, the more insecure she became of him because she grew afraid of losing him or driving him away.

After several sleepless and lonely nights, the woman finally came to a decision that if the man only knew how she felt about him then most probably he would also feel the same way.

So the woman then made the ground breaking move of confessing how she felt about him.

She ultimately told him that she has a “thing” for him.

His first reaction was eerie silence.

He looked totally shocked by the confession . . . but then afterwards he finally managed to tell her that although he does like her, he doesn’t want to do anything to harm the friendship.

The woman was CONFUSED.

And what’s even more confusing is that after the “showdown”, the man just somehow simply faded into oblivion.

Very rarely would he return the woman’s phone calls, text messages or emails. This action only bewildered the woman even more. She didn’t know how to take it nor how to react to his sudden coldness.

After much contemplation, the woman decided that she would show the man how much he means to her.

So she wrote him very touching love letters, she also gave him occasional little sweet gifts, and she also texted and emailed him sweet messages on a constant basis.

But then he just never responded.

The woman was SHOCKED and dismayed by all this.

A couple of times he replied with a simple thank you and a smily face on his emails, but there was no real affirmation that he felt the same way. She called him time and time again, but then most of the time he would just pick up the phone call, tell the woman he’s busy and promise to call her back.

And then he would never call back.

After a while, he just simply . . . DISAPPEARED.

Now doesn’t that familiar love story just hit home?

I’m sure a lot of women out there can relate to this story because they’ve been through it at one stage or another.

So based on this sweet little story, what is the lesson to be learned?

That ATTRACTION should be created from the get-go.

If you feel that the guy can be more than a friend to you, then you must create that invisible distinction between friendship and romantic relationship.

Because regardless of how genuine you are with your feelings or how many gifts or love letters you give him or how much effort you put in on trying to convince him that you really care for him – none of that really matters if he’s not attracted to you anyway.

In other words, if he’s not attracted to you, the more effort you put forth the faster you’ll drive him away from you.

Bottomline: You can’t bribe or convince him to like you.

Therefore, attraction should always be established from the get-go because once the platonic plateau has been established - it’s very difficult to break that boundary.

THE CAST OF FOX’S SMASH SHOW “GLEE” HITS THE STAGE IN NEW YORK, LOS ANGELES, PHOENIX AND CHICAGO THIS MAY!

In an unprecedented live event, Twentieth Century Fox Television and “Glee” co-creator Ryan Murphy are bringing the hit television show to concert stages this May.

Beginning Wednesday, May 18 at the Dodge Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, “Glee” stars Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Mark Salling (Puck), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum, Jr. (Mike) and Dijon Talton (Matt) will perform in a singing and dancing celebration of the Golden Globe Award winning show. They will perform their last concerts at the famed Radio City Music Hall in New York at the end of May.

The four-city exclusive engagement, “Glee Live! In Concert!,” is a unique concert experience conceived by Murphy that will include live performances of some of the show’s most memorable musical numbers including its anthem “Don’t Stop Believin,” fan favorites “Somebody To Love” and “Jump” and hits “Don’t Rain on My Parade” and “Sweet Caroline.”

“The response of the fans to our little show has been so immediate and so gratifying, we wanted to get out and thank them live and in person,” commented Murphy. “And what show lends itself more to a concert than ‘Glee?’ We can’t wait to take this show on the road and the actors couldn’t be more excited to perform live for audiences in these four cities.”

“This has been such an extraordinary year for ‘Glee’ and I can’t think of a better way to finish up the first season than performing live on stage with the cast,” commented Michele, a Broadway veteran. Sandra Bullock’s ‘The Blind Side’ made a fantastic start to its box office run.  All of the Top Ten have had a slow week but have had solid takings over the weeks.  Over the next few weeks, big movies such as ‘Alice in Wonderland’, ‘Clash of The Titans’ and ‘Green Zone’ will hit the screens.  It will be interesting to see how they do.
