Female Artist of the Month for October 2012

Lana Lyric, StarCentral Magazine’s Female Artist of the Month for October 2012, is the perfect example of where talent, drive and business savvy can get you in the music industry. Her determination has seen her recently launch her own production label, Roulette Productions. With the slogan, ‘Take The Chance’, her label reaches far beyond her adopted hometown of Sydney, Australia with her doing business with artists and professionals from the US, Canada, the UK, the Netherlands and more! Lana is most proud of her current artist, Rachel Miles who has been with her since the birth of Roulette, ‘…my homegirl, my sister from another mister…she is an amazing singer/songwriter and just an amazing person!”

Music has always been part of Lana’s life. “I grew up performing in church choirs and school music productions. It is something I have had a passion for since before I can remember.” By the age of 12, she already recorded her first track called “The Time.” But it was Michael Jackson that cemented the kind of performer Lana wanted to be. “He inspires me to be a better artist, he taught me that you can never stop improving. You don’t just hear the music you feel the music, you don’t just make the music, you become the music.” She enjoys that through her music, “I can express myself and create a sanctuary for the listeners who can relate to my music.”

The multi-talented singer/songwriter and all-round performer, along with the continued success of Roulette Productions, has the release of her own mixtape, S.W.A.G. (Saved With Amazing Grace) to look forward to in the near future. Lana is well on her own way to making quite a name of herself in the music industry and with the 100% support of her family, “when something is your passion, you want to do for the rest of your life…”
