It’s confirmed: Heart Evangelista will play Sharon’s Daughter in ‘Mano Po 6!′

Mano Po is one of the most successful movie franchises to ever hit Philippines’ big screens so it is only fitting that the producers of the ‘Mano Po’ franchise obtain some A-list actors and actresses to star in the movie.

When news broke that the megastar miss Sharon Cuneta was starring in Mano Po 6, the movie became much more anticipated than ever. And so the search began to find a strapping hot, young woman to play Sharon’s daughter in the movie.

Big names were brought up for the role. Kim Chiu, Bea Alonzo, Carla Abellana, Marian Rivera and Angel Locsin were some of the names considered for the role, however, none of them are able to commit to the part since some of them are busy with their regular TV series, some had issues with their contracts and others were already filming other MMFF movies.

Well it took a while to finally cast Sharon’s daughter, but now the search is finally over – Heart Evangelista has been confirmed to play the role! Heart is one of the most beautiful and talented actresses in the Philippines so I’m definitely looking forward to this movie. She was supposed to star in this horror flick called “Patient X” but had to withdraw due to health problems. Now she’s ok though so she’ll be starring alongside the megastar in Mano Po 6.

Dennis Trillo will be playing Heart’s love interest in the film and some Mano Po regulars such as Christopher de Leon, Zsa Zsa Padilla and Boots Anson Roa will also be part of the movie. It is set to be directed by Joel Lamangan and is also scheduled to be released this coming Christmas Day.

So who’s ready for some Mano po 6? I know I am!
