Kim Hyun Joong is one of the hottest celebs in South Korea

Kim Hyun Joong or Yoon Ji Hoo from Boys Over Flowers apparently came second on a poll conducted at South Korea vying for the title of “best acting male singer.” Rain, who is also an actor/singer topped the award overall.

According to ABS CBN.com, there were apparently 20,409 voters overall wherein Hyun Joong was able to garner 6,757 votes whilst Rain had a whopping 7,941. All in all, Rain only won by 183 votes against the Boys Over Flowers hunk. The poll conducted wasn’t just about who the best singer is, you actually needed to be an actor as well.

Hyun Joong initially got into the entertainment scene by being the lead vocalist for an all-male band called SS501 in South Korea which was launched back in 2005. The band became so popular that it was included in two reality shows:”Thank You For Waking Us Up” and “Thank You For Raising Us.”

Kim first got into acting via a reality show called ‘We Got Married’ back in May, 2008. The show became a massive hit and Hyun Joong and her leading lady at the time Hwang Bo were even declared as the Best Couple by an award giving body. Because of that hit TV show, he was casted as a part of the Boys Over Flowers ensemble and now he’s a new F4 member.  

At this stage he is currently in the process of finishing his new album with SS501 and he even has an Asian concert this coming August.
