Is Piolo Pascual nervous about Lovers in Paris??

Is the ultimate dream boy really nervous about his latest upcoming TV series?

Let’s face it; any project that Piolo is a part of, it usually becomes either a box office smash hit or a TV series with monster ratings. The Philippines can’t get enough of Papa P, and with his dream boy looks, karate body and superb acting prowess – how can any woman resist?

Currently, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding his upcoming TV series not because of the actual TV series itself, but because of Piolo and KC’s behind the scene closeness. When asked if he’s still courting KC, he simply responded with “Oo naman, nililigawan ko pa rin si Kristina, it hasn’t stopped. Siguro mas focused lang kami ngayon sa trabaho. So para hindi rin malito yung mga tao, ito muna ang makikita nila (KC and Piolo on cam) … On a personal level, whatever we share it’s really something, important, it’s something we treasure, and it’s something we try to nurture.”

Hmm … And the big question is: “So Piolo, are you guys really for real or is this all a publicity stunt? And if I may, a follow up – Can we touch your abs to see if they’re real?”

Okay, so that request may not totally be related to the topic at hand, but I’m sure that was something a lot of people are wondering about as well. So let’s refer back to the title of this article, is Piolo nervous about the much-awaited Asianovela? With all the box office smash hits and blockbuster TV shows under his belt, and let’s not forget the fact that KC is one of the hottest actresses making waves right now AND that Lovers in Paris was already a proven smash hit formula – should he really be nervous at all?

The answer is YES.

Piolo actually confessed to ABS-CBN.com at the ABS-CBN trade launch just recently that he is nervous about the show because people expected more from them now due to their growing relationship off cam. “It’s hard because we work together. It would have been so much easier kung hindi kami magkatrabaho. But the thing is, magkasama kami sa trabaho. I thought it could have been an advantage but then again parang mas nakakatakot kasi ang daming mata ang nakatingin sa inyo palagi. Mas may pressure but we’re okay,” Piolo quipped.

I guess even the superstars feel nervous about their shows. I actually thought that the box office kings don’t feel nervous at all, because well – they kick butt at the ratings game all the time! Well it just goes to show that Piolo is indeed human. He further said:

“Mate-test din dito yung chemistry naming dalawa kung mayroon man. So we’re excited. We’re also keeping our fingers crossed na maging successful yung first show namin together.”

A mixture of nervousness and excitement – I guess that’s what every actor or actress feels every time they have an upcoming project that’s about to air. Will it be a hit or miss? Well, we’ll soon find out. But with Piolo and KC as the lead players in Lovers in Paris. I don’t think there’s any doubts on people’s minds that this TV series will be another ratings juggernaut!
