Are Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson finally parting ways?

As we all know, Kim and Gerald’s hit TV series ‘Tayong Dalawa’ just recently concluded which is a shame for the millions and millions of ‘Kimerald’ fans. After the TV series both Kim and Gerald almost immediately started making separate projects.  

Gerald is currently starring as Tiagong Akyat in ‘Agimat: Mga Alamat ni Ramon Revilla,’ where he’s paired up with Erich Gonzales. Kim on the other hand is soon appearing in the film ‘I Love You, Goodbye’ which stars Gabby Concepcion and Angelica Panganiban. In the said movie, Kim is also set to be paired up with Derek Ramsay.

Now when Kim was asked if she misses Gerald, she responded by saying “Siyempre kahit papaano miss namin ang isat-isa dahil for three years, lagi kaming magkasama at lagi kaming magkatrabaho.”

True that. Well now that both Kim and Gerald have seemingly transitioned to being paired up with other leading men and leading ladies, does this mean that the ‘Kimerald’ tandem is over?

Well the simple answer is NO.

In fact, they actually have an upcoming movie together – I did get you going there for a minute though right?

Last October 5, Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson have officially confirmed to some members of the press that they have a movie together in 2010, apparently this will be Star Cinema’s first movie offering for the year.

Both are keeping mum about the plotline of the said movie but apparently this will be a change from the super dramatic movies they have done in the past.

“Sobrang na-excite kami nung narinig namin ‘yung kuwento kasi iba siya sa Tayong Dalawa at kakaibang challenge na naman ito para sa amin,” Gerald said. “Mas mature siyempre pero kung sa Tayong Dalawa puro drama, dito pinapangako naming kikiligin talaga kayo.”

Oh really now Gerald?

Kim subtly insinuated that it will somewhat be a romantic comedy. “Masaya kami dito, tatawa kami, magbibiruan kami and after I’ve Fallen For You level up na naman sa amin ito kasi mas mature para sa aming dalawa.”

Of course, they were excited when the movie was finalised since they really thought that their love team was going to be broken up. “Akala ko paghihiwalayin na ‘yung love team namin pero dahil sa mga fans na patuloy na sumusuporta sa amin, binigyan kami ng movie for 2010,” Kim said.

Well it looks like we’ll be seeing more of Kim and Gerald so Kimerald fans you don’t need to fret! To be honest ‘kilig’ movies aren’t really up my alley, but with the adorable and too cute for words Kim starring in the movie – I just might end up watching this rom-com.
