GMA’s “FIRST TIME” an all star offering by the “Kapuso” station!

Barbie Forteza, Joshua Dionisio, and Jhake Vargas – the hottest up and coming stars who played young Jodi, Cholo, and Tristan in the hit GMA series STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN – are back in FIRST TIME, the most anticipated teen romance-drama from the GMA  Network.

This proves to be the biggest break yet for the three young stars after their memorable performances in the Philippine adaptation of the hit Korean series STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN, which starred super hunk Dingdong Dantes and the ever beautiful Rhian Ramos. Right after STAIRWAY, Barbie, Joshua, and Jhake topbilled “My Christmas List,” an episode for DEAR FRIEND, which also did quite well at the ratings. 

In FIRST TIME, Barbie, Joshua, and Jhake are ably supported by a mixture of young stars and seasoned performers. This  include former Starstruck Kids avenger Bea Binene, STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN’s “young Eunice” Jhoana Marie Tan, Ian Veneracion, Manilyn Reynes, Romnick Sarmienta, Ana Capri, Bayani Agbayani, Cris Villanueva, Angel Jacob, Alicia Mayer, Joross Gamboa, Michelle Madrigal, Mel Kimura, Roxanne Barcelo, and Eric Quizon 

The new series is directed by Andoy Ranay and written by Kit Langit. It follows the love story of teenagers Cyndi (Barbie) and Lukas (Joshua) who met one summer at the beach. Their friendship was unfortunately cut short due to the death of Lukas’ mother in a mysterious accident and the migration of Lukas’ father to another country.

Two years later, Lukas returns to the Philippines. As luck would have it, Lukas and Cyndi find themselves studying in the same school and trying to rekindle their friendship. But Lukas, once a cheerful and fun-loving guy, has now become withdrawn. This does not deter Cyndi and, with the help of her best friend Baste (Jhake), she helps Lukas come to terms with the tragedies in his life. The three soon become inseparable, despite the fact that Lukas and Baste barely have anything in common besides their love for Cyndi.

But then a dark secret from the past threatens to turn their world upside down and make them question their identities.

How will this affect their lives and their young hearts?
