10. Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart in “Sabrina”
In the movie, Sabrina Fairchild (Hepburn) was the young daughter of the Larrabee family’s chauffeur, who also happened to be head over heels in love with David Larrabee- the youngest son of the family. David was a serial womanizer who has never noticed Sabrina before because of all the women who were constantly around him, but then things changed when Sabrina ended up attending this culinary school in Paris and returned to the Larrabee household as a sophisticated woman of the world. David was quickly attracted to her this time, but then David’s brother Linus (Bogart) saw this and feared that this sudden turn of events can jeopardise David’s pending wedding to this rich woman. This possible mess could ruin a corporate deal with the bride’s family, so Linus woos Sabrina to stop his brother from committing a fatal mistake. He endeavours to redirects Sabrina’s feelings to himself – but in the process he ends up falling in love with her instead.
Now Audrey and Humprey may be old news compared to all the hot couples being paraded in the big screen these days, but let’s face it: Back on their heyday, these two were the bomb!
9. Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore in “Ghost”
Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) and Molly Jensen (Demi Moore) were your typical lovey dovey couple living in New York City. Their lives were picture perfect until one night, whilst walking back to their new apartment after going to the theatre, they bump into a thief who pulled a gun on them and shot Sam. A fight between Sam and the thief erupted which ended on Sam chasing after the thief – he eventually lost the thief though. When he returned back to his original spot to check on Molly, he sees her cradling his dead body – and suddenly, a light bulb in his head switches on! He just realized that he was then a ghost with an unfinished business.
This movie was most definitely a cesspool of passion, romance and fervour longing. Let’s not forget that ceramics scene where Patrick and Demi left millions of people breathless and gasping for breath – that scene was so hot it was like curry with extra chilli sauce!
8. Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh in “Gone with the Wind”
Gone with the Wind was a masterpiece that was set on a civil war backdrop. Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) always had a thing for Scarlett (Vivien Leigh) – who wouldn’t, Scarlett was a gorgeous lass back in her heyday! Rhett was a bad boy who has been disowned by his Charleston family, Scarlett on the other hand was a stuck up bitch with a severe case of tantrums – a match made in heaven don’t you think? A notable scene was when Rhett tells Scarlett “You need to be kissed…And often…And by someone who knows how!” and he smacks her one on the lips – Bang! There’s sexual tension for ya!
7. Isla Fisher and Ryan Reynolds in “Definitely, Maybe”
Will Hayes (Ryan Reynolds) was a father who was in the middle of a divorce, he also has a 10-year-old daughter called Maya. One day, Maya just kept bugging Will to reveal his story on how he and her mother met. Will eventually gave in, and he relayed his love story which involved his hot college sweetheart Emily (Elizabeth Banks), a super hot journo called Summer Hartley (Rachel Weisz), and April (Isla Fisher) – the copy girl for a campaign he was working on earlier in the movie. Of course, we all know that Ryan eventually ended up with April but not after years and years of being friends and changing various partners. One notable scene was when Will confessed to April that he held on to the copy of this special Jane Eyre book that April has been looking for all her life because “it was the only thing he had left of her.” The sexual chemistry between these two are just undeniable, it’s a shame they’re not actually together in real life.
6. Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook in “She’s all that”
Zack Siler (Freddie Prinze, Jr.) was the super stud in his California high school that gets dumped by his popular girlfriend. He makes a bet with his friend on whether or not he can turn any girl into prom queen within six weeks, the girl they ended up picking was Laney Boggs which is Rachael Leigh Cook in real life – a “supposedly” geeky art student. Of course, it was a bit hard to see Rachael as a geek because well – she was just too damn hot! They both eventually ended up together and you can’t deny that these two gorgeous creatures simply exude hotness and overall sex appeal. It’s your classic geek turned to popular chick plotline, but with two gorgeous people playing the lead – who the heck cares!
5. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in “The Notebook”
Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling) saw 17-year-old heiress Allie Hamilton (Rachel McAdams) for the first time in a carnival and it was like love at first sight for him. It was the classic story of rich girl, poor boy where the rich girl’s parents were against Noah from the beginning. The two initially broke up and years later, Allie was about to get married and whilst trying on her wedding dress, she spotted an article about Noah in a newspaper. She decided to visit the now heavily bearded Noah, they both ended up admitting that they still have feelings for each other and they also ended up humping each other brains out all day long. A notable scene was the scene in the rain wherein Noah shouts at the top of his lungs “it was never over…. It still isn’t over!” Never has there been a bigger melodrama than this tear-jerker, and who would ever think that sporting a massive bush of a beard can be so sexy?
4. Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey in “How to Lose a Guy in 10 days”
Andie Anderson (Kate Hudson) was a journo, who worked for this girly magazine called Composure – she was the “How to…” girl. Benjamin Barry (Matthew McConaughey) on the other hand was an advertising executive. Now after defending her friend to her editor, Andie somehow found herself writing an article called “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.” At the same time, Benjamin found himself on a tight spot where he told his boss that he can make any woman fall in love with him in just ten days. They met each other one night, and so ensued a game of cat and mouse. Andie puts Ben through various bizarre experiences to make him quickly break up with her within that 10 day timeframe, but then Ben sticks around because he needs her fall in love with him so that he can win his boss’ favour.
Well the sexual tension between these two gorgeous creatures throughout the movie was enough to detonate a nuclear bomb! Don’t they both just look so damn gorgeous?
3. Robert Pattinson and Kirsten Stewart from” Twilight”
Well we all know the story of this blockbuster smash hit movie right? Bella Swan moves to Forks, meets super hot vampire Edward Cullen who glitters in the sun, they fall in love and it’s all hunky-dory from then on. A notable scene was when Edward told Bella “I don’t have the strength to stay away from you anymore” – at which point, half of the women who was watching that scene fainted and lost touch of reality.
The sexual chemistry between the two characters was so strong that suddenly – every woman wanted a tall, extremely pale looking vampire just like Edward. And who can blame them really, I sure wish my high school had this much hotties floating around!
2. Ashley Judd and Hugh Jackman from “Someone Like You”
After a chain of bad relationships, Jane (Ashley Judd) finally met “the one” in the form of Ray. This guy was good looking, great to talk to, can be emotionally available, and is not afraid of commitment. What more can any girl ask for right? But then one day, he just instantly dumped her – soo … WTF?? Ashley ended up moving in with serial womanizer Eddie (Jackman) and yadi yadi yada – they both eventually fall in love and hook up. A notable scene was the cheerleading scene where Hugh was seen shirtless watching the underwear-clad Ashley Judd shake her invisible pom poms and her booty along with it!
The sexual tension between the two was so high that you’d need a Jedi lightsaber to cut through it! Hmmm …
1. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in Mr and Mrs Smith
John (Brad Pitt) and Jane (Angelina Jolie) were both skilled assassins working for different firms; both were also among the best in their field. One time, when both were assigned to take out a man named Benjamin Danz, they both encounter each other on the job and mess up the hit. Believing that each had been sent to stop the other from completing their mission, their firms order one Smith to eliminate the other. What then follows was a well choreographed and power surged fight in the Smith residence. After a long, hard and vicious fight which left their house in a colossal mess, they both ended up with guns in each other’s faces. But instead of shooting each other they submit to their feelings for each other, rip each other’s clothes off and make hard, animalistic love right there and then! Now if that wasn’t sexual tension at its best and finest, I don’t know what is. Both Brad and Angelina are the hottest people to ever walk this planet so it is only fitting they end up as number one on this list.
