Schapelle Corby has just been recently admitted to psychiatric hospital due to severe depression. She is currently suffering paranoia and has actually been seen walking around her prison cell carrying a doll.

Jailors have advised that Schapelle Corby had been in tears over the past couple of weeks. Fellow prisoners have also noticed that she doesn’t really sleep at nights and she looks bewildered most of the time.

“According to her cellmates she doesn’t sleep at night,” Kerobokan jail doctor Agung Hartawan advised. “Sometimes she is blank. Sometimes she just hangs around the cell, sometimes she forgets about things. Sometimes she forgets to look after herself.”

Schapelle Corby is currently serving a 20-year sentence, but due to her unstable condition, she was taken from Kerobokan jail temporarily and moved to Denpasar’s police hospital late on Friday where she is currently being treated by a private psychiatrist organized by her family.

Dr Danny Tong was the doctor assigned to look after Schapelle’s mental condition. After examining her, he had concluded that Schapelle had become “very illogical” and that there was definitely a need for her to be in a psychiatric hospital because a change of environment was necessary for her present condition.

He wasn’t entirely sure though if the Indonesian authorities would consent to this request because a similar request was denied last year.

According to Dr Tong, family support is the best medicine for her right now so Schapelle’s mother Rosleigh Rose has flown to Bali to lend her undying support to her daughter.

“Her mother is here. This is the best medicine for anybody in the world,” he quipped.
