First New Moon screening a major success!
by Bruno Maximo on November 20th, 2009 · posted in Celebrity News with a TWIST, Uncategorized · 1 CommentHundreds and thousands of eager young women and a small number of men arrived in droves to watch the midnight premiere of the highly anticipated Twilight sequel New Moon.
Greater Union cinema located in George Street, Sydney got so packed that the crowd actually blocked off the entire foyer. Thousands of fans also proudly displayed their Twilight and New Moon shirts with printed messages such as as “bite me,” “I would have picked Jacob” and “You may call me Mrs Edward Cullen.”
Shortly just before 3am, the hundreds of female fans walked out of the cinema still gushing about the two New Moon hunks Taylor Lautner, and Robert Pattinson. A number of fans were also impressed by the film’s special effects.
20-year-old Kate Madden from Gymea told news.com.au that “It was excellent … The hot guys were probably the best part.”
Another fan Rebecca Markham, actually travelled all the way from Hobart to see the vampire film with some friends!
Not everyone was impressed though as some people believed that the New Moon failed to live up to the book series that the movie was originally based on.
A fan who goes by the name of Sarah Wilkes said “I was slightly disappointed. It wasn’t as good as the book. They jumped from one thing to another.”
Danish tourists Nina Gabel, and Marie Petersen, had a different opinion though.
“We’ve read the books and it’s just as good,” said Ms Gabel.
Well then, you win some you lose some right? One thing’s for sure though, New Moon is an epic movie that will no doubt conquer the box office in a weeks time!
