We should all be very grateful to the Italians for creating pasta because it’s such wonderfully delicious invention! This multi- purpose food is now a favourite amongst the world and a staple food in everyone’s diets even if the ‘good ones’ try to steer clear of it due to it’s carbohydrate goodness.
Now for all those Italian food lovers and tough men out there who are not scared of carbs and looking for a beautiful home cooked meal, then look no further than Crinitis.
The Crinitis chain has well and truly expanded in a big way! Due to popular demand they now have food outlets in Castle Hill, Parramatta, Darling Harbour and two new additions coming soon in Manly and Woolloomooloo. This authentic Italian dining experience is not about red chequered table cloths and children’s drawings on the wall. Instead, Crinitis is for those who are craving for a more modern Italian dining atmosphere. The dim lighting and the motor bikes and ferrari’s on display definitely helps create this modern Italian ambience.

I can honestly say that my Crinitis experience is one of my favourite dining experiences because I find the service exceptional and the food outstanding. Amazingly enough, it’s a family run business and when I say family this includes the cooking expertises of every single family member. The Aunties make all the tomato sauce bases from ‘real’ tomatoes not that fake tin stuff and the traditional limoncello shots are made by the grand mother who personally freshly squeezes all the lemons. This extra effort which goes into making each dish adds to the culinary experience enticing all your taste buds. The meals are a bit pricey however, the meal sizes are very generous and compensate for its expensive price.
The menu gives its customers a high amount of choice and variety, but the only problem is - what the heck should you choose?? You are able to choose from a variety entrees including a selection of breads with dips, bruschetta, stuffed Italian meatballs with fresh tomato sauce, zucchini flowers and Prosciutto in Olive Oil just to name a few. The mains include a variety of chicken, veal, steaks, seafood, pizza, pasta and even delectable meat skewers. The choices are overwhelming and even the fussiest eater will be completely satisfied by Crinitis. The dessert menu also includes a variety of pastries, biscotti and cakes freshly baked for your pleasure.
I would definitely suggest Crinitis if you are celebrating a birthday because once they find out it’s your birthday the staff will perform a traditional Italian rendition of Happy birthday for you which is sure to make you feel special. Have a few cocktails after and if you want to continue the authentic Italian experience then look no further than the Limon cello shots for an after dinner snack. I also highly suggest the mohitos which I must admit I thoroughly enjoyed – my big smile in the photo above just about says it all!
