Griddle- Delicious eats at Rouse Hill

Don’t take my word for it…. Try Griddle and you will love it! Delicious modern Australian cuisine for a fairly reasonable price!

Griddle is located in the suburb of Rouse Hill at the Rouse House Town Centre, perfectly located next to Reading Cinemas so you can watch a movie before a feed. For years this spot used to house another restaurant which was never full but as soon as Griddle took over the customers have been flocking in!

The menu selection is quite varied which leaves me wondering what I will have. One of my favourites which I recently ordered is the ‘Surf and Turf’ which is a tender chicken breast covered in king prawns and a creamy sauce. The meal is accompanied by vegetables and crispy chips- probably some of the best chips I have ever had! I have also tried the frilled fish fillet as well as the steak which was cooked to absolute medium-rare perfection. The portion sizes are quite large so usually the bread is enough for a starter and we don’t even order entrees.

I have gone there numerous times and never been disappointed by the food or service. One night however we were waiting a while for our meals as it was a very busy Friday night. The manager came up to us after we waited about 30 minutes for our main meals and apologised for the delay. He then returned moments later with cocktails for everyone at the table and even shouted us his delicious waffles topped with strawberries, banana and rich chocolate sauce. I was extremely impressed by the service and the high service levels the restaurant employs. It was really nice to be approached and apologised to for the delay, let alone shouting us cocktails and waffles. This could’ve developed into a situation where I complained about the delay but instead I was amazed that the restaurant handled the situation before I had to.

The restaurant can be quite busy on weekends if it’s a nice night so I suggest you book in advance so you don’t miss out. There is indoor and outdoor eating areas but don’t worry there are heaters to keep you warm at the moment.

So next time you are in the area, stop by!
