With the footy finals fast coming to an end, I thought I should share a great place to watch the game.
The Australian Hotel and Brewery at Rouse Hill has all the atmosphere, large screen televisions and betting requirements that you need to make the footy finals that little bit more exciting. What’s more, because they’re a Brewery there is a wide selection of fresh beers available on tap. You will feel right at home in the reclining leather armchairs or gather around the tables with friends to watch the game.
The modern farmhouse decor really helps to suit the mood. Exposed brick, industrial and raw ceilings with exposed piping surrounded by timber floors and booths all combine to create a unique atmosphere which will help you to forget you are in The Hills.
Last weekend I ordered the salmon with creamy mash potato and sauteed veggies in a chilli and cashew nut sauce. I added the side of veggies but you also had the option of chips and salad. I was a little surprised that the salmon ended up costing me $32 plus $7 for a side of veggies which in a nice restaurant I would think nothing of, but I thought this was pretty excessive for a local brewery. The meal was delicious and cooked to perfection but was a bit overpriced!
The Brewery attracts families from all around especially the little ones. A dedicated glass enclosed kids’ dining room catering for up to 80 along with an all-weather adventure playground, kids’ activities, parents change facilities and tasty kiddies corner menu are just some of the reasons why families from all over Sydney are drawn to the hotel daily. If that’s not enough to attract families, this family friendly hub also offers free face painting on Sundays with a family bistro featuring indoor and alfresco dining. After work on Thursdays, things heat up a little bit at The Cool Room where it’s the best place in the Hills to go to have a drink and party with your friends.
So this weekend head to the Brewery to cheer on your favourite team.
