Is there a record that “Avengers: Infinity War” is not going to break?? According to Disney, Avengers: Infinity War just crossed the whopping $1 billion mark only 11 days after its release, becoming the fastest movie ever to do so. The film had the biggest opening day ever in Russi, and it has not even hit China, yet where it is expected to draw a massive audience.

Disney confirmed that the film raked in an estimated $275 million in global movie ticket sales for its second weekend, with an estimated global total of $1.16 billion earned so far. That overall total actually puts the film ahead of Captain America: Civil War ($1.15 billion) and The Dark Knight Rises ($1.08 billion).

Disney knew that Avengers: Infinity War was going to break box office records when it raked in $250 million in its opening weekend beating the record originally set by Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ which was $248 million. Since then the tickets just kept selling like hot pancakes.

Marvel has another potential blockbuster, “Deadpool 2,” starring Ryan Reynolds which is due to hit the big screen on May 18, so it’s safe to say that 2018 is Marvel’s year.
